Netflix and Candy Digital are working together to make a line of Stranger Things NFT collectibles. The first collection comes out on Thursday, July 14, and has 17 different characters from Season Four of the Netflix original.
In the first release, fans will be able to mint a total of 11,111 tokens with characters like Eleven, Dustin, and Max that they like. Only 223 NFTs of Eleven will be made, which is the smallest number of any of the characters. The artwork for the digital collectibles is dynamic and looks like a poster.
Collectors can buy the NFTs at netflix.candy.com from Thursday, July 14 at 2:00 p.m. ET until Tuesday, July 21 at 6:00 p.m. ET.
Candy started a Premint raffle earlier in the week. Members of certain NFT communities, such as Adam Bomb Squad, RTFKT, Doodles, and others, could enter to win early access. At the time this was written, there were still 14 hours left for people to enter this raffle.
“Our partnership with Netflix shows how committed Candy Digital is to giving fans more and better ways to interact with the content, characters, and stories they love,” said Scott Lawin, CEO of Candy Digital.
The two brands also said that they are committed to making collectibles that are good for the environment and that every digital asset will be made on the Palm blockchain, which is a side-chain based on Ethereum and has a carbon footprint of almost 0%.
The first drop of “The Upside Down Series” collectibles will cost $11 USD for a single “mystery box” and $275 USD for the “Hell Fire Club Bundle,” which has 17 character posters.
