At the MTV Video Music Awards, Snoop Dogg and Eminem will perform their NFT track “From the D to the LBC” (VMAs). Tomorrow, August 28, at 8 p.m. EST, the party starts live on MTV. The company has teamed up with Yuga Labs, which made the BAYC, to put on the show directly from the Otherside. This is the first time that the metaverse has been a part of an MTV event.
The VMAs featured Snoop Dogg and Eminem.
Tomorrow, Snoop Dogg and Eminem are going to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards. They will perform right from Yuga Labs’ Otherside metaverse, which is pretty cool. This means that they will be using NFTs or the Metaverse for the first time on their show.
During the show, the rap duo will perform as their own BAYC avatars straight from the metaverse. This is a meeting of the real world and the virtual world. 22
From the “D” to the “LBC”
A song by Eminem and Snoop Dogg called “From the D to the LBC” came out in June of this year. So far, over 47 million people have watched the music video that Eminem posted on YouTube, and 2 million people have liked it.
Mathers III (who goes by the name Eminem) and Broadus Jr. (who goes by the name Snoop Dogg) are shown in parts of the video as they really are. As well as their counterparts in the Bored Ape Yacht Club, which have complex animations.
Also, more people will hear the song because the duo is going to perform it at the MTV Video Music Awards.
To be clear, Eminem bought his Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT for the first time in January of this year. He bought #9055 for 123.45 ETH, which was equal to $460,000 at the time. Since then, people have called it “EminApe.”
In fact, Snoop Dogg jumped in a little earlier, in December of last year, and he has been more active in the NFT space since then. His first purchase was the Bored Ape #6723. He got it through a deal with MoonPay, which has been involved in a lot of celebrity NFT deals.
