Coca-Cola, a well-known company that makes drinks, has said that it will release a Pride series NFT collection to honor the LGBTQIA+ community. Each NFT will be different, and the goal is to spread a message of love and shine colorful light on the people in the community.

Coca-Cola is going to work with South African designer and advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights Rich Mnisi. The Coca-Cola team also said that Rich Mnisi’s art “pushes the boundaries of what identity and community can be.” They told me:

“His Coca-Cola Pride collection artworks are inspired by an enduring idea: that energy cannot be destroyed. It can only be transferred, changed in form, locked up or released. Love is similar. It can become any number of things — passion, darkness, trust, heartbreak — but it is always there. These free forms represent both love’s permanence and its changing state. They’re to remind us of the power that lies within all of us to choose what love will become. Love is what we make it. Choose to love freely.”

On the Polygon Network, there are 136 NFTs.

Rich Mnisi and Coca-Cola will work together to make 136 NFTs, which are being made on the Polygon Network right now (MATIC). Some NFTs are already on OpenSea’s list. As seen in the screenshot below, the lowest price for Coca-Cola Pride Series NFTs is now 1 Ethereum.

LGBTQIA+-focused charities will get the money from the sales of NFT.

Coca-Cola also paid for the art with the hope that each NFT would “increase visibility by radiating the full spectrum of the community’s colors and spreading a simple message of Love.”

Also, all of the money from the first sales of the NFTs will go to charities that help the LGBTQIA+ community. For the first year, the money will go straight to OUT, a charity for LGBTQIA+ people that Rich Mnisi chose. The organization is the second-oldest in South America and gives physical and mental health care to the LGBTQIA+ community.
