Bill Murray, a famous American actor and comedian, is starting a new Ethereum-based NFT project this month. The project will focus a lot on stories from and about his life.

In an interview with Murray’s son Jackson, Decrypt found out that the famous actor wants to use an NFT project to share many of the stories from his long career in show business. The project, called “The Bill Murray 1,000,” is supposedly being started by the website “The Chive” and the blockchain startup “Project Venkman” in partnership.

The project will offer 1,000 NFT collectibles based on 100 stories from Murray’s career, such as his movies and his time on Saturday Night Live. The report says that each NFT will be based on an original painting of Murray by artist David Grizzle, but the backgrounds will be different for each one. Text and pictures in each piece will tell a story about Murray.

Jackson Murray told Decrypt that after talking to The Chive co-founder and President John Resig, his dad became interested in an NFT project. Resig said that the next step in Murray’s evolution was “definitely NFTs,” which the actor was not happy about at first. Jackson says, though, that his father eventually came around to the idea of starting an NFT collection and was aware of how valuable digital items could be.

Jackson said that his father liked the idea of making a membership pass that would give collectors perks, such as the chance to meet the famous actor at future events. The NFT collection would also give Murray a way to tell the world his true stories.

Jackson said:

“People always ask me if this story is true. Is this something that really took place? . The NFTs give me and Bill a way to answer those questions without having to tell the same story nine times in a row.’
